CARL SARGEANT AM BACKS CREDIT UNION CAMPAIGN
Carl Sargeant Assembly Member for Alyn & Deeside has welcomed the Welsh Assembly Government announcement that the All Flintshire Credit Union is to receive an additional £10,350 of funding to update IT and office equipment.Speaking on International Credit Union Day, Carl Sargeant is also urging residents to join a Credit Union as part of a Labour-led campaign. Carl Sargeant AM said: “I welcome the announcement of additional funds for the Flintshire Credit Union.”“Credit Unions offer an accessible, low risk and easy place to save money, and give access to low cost loans. Many now offer other services such as Child Trust Fund accounts, ISAs, insurance products, budgeting advice and debt management.”All Labour Assembly Members in Wales are encouraging as many people as possible to benefit from membership.Carl Sargeant added;"I urge all residents to join a credit union and take advantage of these facilities."
