Safe Roads Campaign

CARL SARGEANT THANKS RESIDENTS
IN SAFE ROADS CAMPAIGN

Carl Sargeant Assembly Member for Alyn & Deeside has thanked the local residents of Ffrith who have been at the forefront of a campaign to improve the safety of local pedestrians.

Ffrith residents have been calling for speed reduction and safer routes for schoolchildren, residents enlisted the support of local Welsh Assembly Member Carl Sargeant, who placed pressure on Flintshire County Council Highways officials to recognise the real issues of speeding traffic in the village of Ffrith.

The campaign has been given a boost recently with the erection of a 30mph interactive warning sign that has recently been placed in the village.

Carl Sargeant Alyn & Deeside Welsh Assembly Member said;

“ I welcome the new interactive speed warning sign and thank the active residents of Ffrith for ensuring that the County Council now recognise the speeding issues in the village, the sign is just the start and I would urge the County Council to introduce further traffic calming measures that improve the safety of local residents and children.”
