AM Congratulates Local School

CARL SARGEANT CONGRATULATES FAMILY LEARNING GROUP

Alyn & Deeside Assembly Member, Carl Sargeant called in at Bryn Deva School in Connahs Quay to present awards to members of the successful family learning group.

The Family Learning Group at Bryn Deva has been meeting for three years, led by teacher Sam Eccles, the Group has provided local parents with basic skills learning and provided them with valuable information on child care skills that will be of benefit to their children.

The current Family Learning Group were presented with their achievement certificates by Local AM, Carl Sargeant and Local Councillor and Governor of Bryn Deva, Cllr Aaron Shotton at a ceremony at Bryn Deva School.

Carl Sargeant Alyn & Deeside AM said,

“It was fantastic to meet so many enthusiastic local parents, they have achieved a great deal in the last year and are a credit to the School, it only goes to show that it’s never too late to learn new skills.”

Cllr Aaron Shotton, Labour Councillor for Connah’s Quay Central Ward said,

“ As a Governor at Bryn Deva I was pleased to see the value of the Family Learning Group, the skills and information taught to parents will be of great benefit to their children.”
